Compared with lead-acid batteries:
Higher energy density per unit volume and weight: Lead-acid batteries generally have a lower energy density. For example, to achieve a certain capacity, lead-acid batteries usually need to be much larger and heavier than flat lithium polymer batteries. Flat lithium polymer batteries can provide a similar or even higher capacity in a much smaller and lighter package, which makes them more suitable for portable and space-constrained applications.
